Did you know?
According to Autumn, "Jesus was born in a manger because he was too poor for a bed." A few hours later, Autumn hands me 3 quarters and says, "Now Jesus can have some cash."
WOW!
I had a few pictures leftover from our train ride on my phone.
I'm mad.
And to a lesser extent, me too!
A few minutes into our train ride.
A few minutes into our train ride.
The stuff for Autumn's class party. It will be repeated tomorrow.
It has been raining all day. This morning, after dropping Autumn off to school, I ran all around to get what I needed for the class party. Millie and I brought the stuff to the school, then helped set up while we waited for a few parents to get there.
Gingerbread houses.
The kids made the angels and some of the ornaments on the tree. In Autumn's bag there was a snowman ornament that is so cute! I will take a picture of it tomorrow for you.
What the room looked like.
The kids came in and sat down.
About this time, Miss Angie (the director) told us how grateful she was to be with our children today in light of what happened on Friday in Connecticut. She began to cry a little bit. The children then sang Silent Night and I do not believe there was a dry eye in the building.
You put your Reindeer Antlers in, you put your reindeer antlers out. You put your reindeer antlers in and you shake em all about.
You do the Reindeer pokey and you turn yourself around. That's what it's all about. You have to love Miss Daisy.
Jinger bells.
Millie enjoyed the singing.... and frosting.
Autumn's place mat.
Before we ate, Pastor Tommy spoke with us about the schools measures to beef up security. They are going to add surveillance cameras to the doors and the Sheriff is going to make our school a checkpoint. I'm not sure what else they have in mind, but in light of Friday's events, none of it makes me feel any better. That school had all the same measures and it did not prevent the tragedy. I suppose it is possible less children died than if those measures had not been in place, but I don't think there is much they can do to make me feel like we are truly safe. I know that is not their job or anything, I am just stating how I feel.
We prayed before taking our meal and once we were done eating, we started on
Gingerbread houses.
Aiden's. He really wanted his picture taken and then he looked like that. Typical guy I guess! Aiden is the one who loves Millie.
Autumn's final product.
That girl was serious!
After the class party, we come home. Millie took her nap. When she woke up, she told me she wanted to wear pants. I was so shocked. Her outfit was still ridiculous, but you know Millie!
Just wait.....
We went to the post office, but were unable to buy stamps. Their debit/credit machine was down and what can I say. I never carry cash. We headed next to Sam's.
I found this for my friend Suzen. She lives in Colorado and well lets just say that if her and I ever get together, you will have to be the DD Sean!
The looks people were giving me about Millie's outfit. I was just thinking, she has a shirt on, pants on and her shoes actually match.... we are good to go!
After all the running around, I didn't feel like cooking dinner. I stopped into five guys to grab two burgers.
The girls were pretending that the table was an umbrella. I wish you could see the looks on peoples faces when they saw Emelia. It was pretty comical.
Sort of like a train wreck... I cannot look away.
We came home, ate dinner and then read some books. The girls are in bed now, but I can still hear Millie shouting, "HO HO HO." It cracks me up. She also hollered out, "This is SO stupid." Yes, Millie. Bed time is stupid. Now go to sleep.
When I was putting Autumn to bed, I found this strangeness:
Should I be afraid to go to sleep. I asked Autumn who did that to Dora and she said, "Millie bo dillie."
A random it doesn't make any sense photo.
1. Autumn informs me that her gorilla is doing purple jumping jacks on the fridge. Uhm what?
2. Did you know the level thingermabobber stuck to the fridge like that? I learn something new all the time from these people.
That is our day in a nutshell. Millie's class party is tomorrow. Hoping I can get a few good shots of her. I love you and I miss you much.
Before I forget. The pathology came back on the tumor they removed with Madeline's Thymus. It was benign!!! That was a sigh of relief.
