New Year's Eve.

Image
Autumn and I had such a good time New Year's Eve. It left my heart feeling conflicted, pulled in two different directions because I was having such a good time, but missing you so much. We went to Towne Square to check out the ice sculptures. Much to my dismay, there weren't nearly as many as the past two years we have gone. There were some though and we enjoyed looking at them. Sitting on our ice throne. We hung outside for about half an hour and then decided to head indoors and get warm before our dinner reservations. Autumn has her purse and her tote. You know what she really wants though? Jewelry! Autumn stopped at every shop that had hats, purses, shoes and un-stuffed animals (build a bear). She didn't want to carry much though, just her tote. I had to carry the coats and her purse! I feel like I am her staff sometimes. We had a 5 course meal at Sullivan's. We started with Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail. Autumn ate it! I was kind of shocked. She even tried the c

A lunch date.

We had a lunch date today with Dylan and Ava. Autumn only ate the apples. Pretty smile. I tried to fix her hair this morning, but this is as good as it gets! Autumn took her blanket and her tote up/down the slide. Sometimes she is so ridiculous, I don't even know what to say! When she carries that tote around, she looks like at any moment she is ready to leave home. Do you see her hair?? Autumn's not the only one that likes the tote! Dylan likes it too! Not sure what they were looking at, but I love this picture of the two of them. Autumn is pretty possessive about her bag, but she did let Dylan play with it, so long as: She was right by him, keeping a close eye on him!! We are having a simple dinner this evening and then going for a walk around the indoor track. Hope you are having a lovely day. I love you and miss you something crazy. 59 days.

Spaghetti dinner

Autumn and I are beginning a new chapter of our lives this week. Potty training. I don't know how it is going to go or if she will graduate, but we are going to give it a shot and see what happens. Last night we had spaghetti dinner. Autumn couldn't wait to get started on her dinner. I enjoyed my dinner immensely. Autumn kept trying to wipe her hands between each bite. Sometimes her OCD is annoying. Despite having Parmesan cheese on her hands, she did enjoy her food! The temperature has dropped drastically today. When we left the house this morning (at 10 am), it was 28 degrees. When we were on our way home (at 1230 pm) it was 9 degrees. I'm not sure how this temperature drop is going to affect our new years eve plan to watch the fireworks at Towne Square, but I think we will still brave the elements because I think Autumn will like the fireworks. Today we got out of the house by going to the mall. Autumn enjoys running up and down the ramps, saying hi to all the s

Blast from the past!

Since I haven't got any new photos of you, I went through some of our old photos. I like to look at photos of you and so does Autumn. She gets so excited when your face pops up on the screen. I think this was taken at NTC last year. I cannot explain why, but I love this photo of you. This is my second favorite photo of you. Do you remember this? The highest point in Texas- Guadalupe. Do you remember that we thought it was cold!! ha ha It was probably 50 degrees. Acadia-one of my favorite camping trips. The Grand Canyon. This photo cracks me up, but I don't want to say why. All the photos of you from the Grand Canyon- You have that grouchy look on your face!! Looking back at these photos brings me fond memories and at the same time, makes me excited to think about taking Autumn and NH2 there. On to the current stuff!! My little lady. Starting the trek to bed. Blanket, check. Elmo, Check. Oh wait mom. Got to get my puppies. Now I'm good to go. Everyone is here. Good

A day at the beach.

Well, not really, but a day at the pool!!! Autumn is fearless Sean! She would jump right into the pool with no one there to catch her. You really have to watch her like a hawk around the water. The whole time in the water, she fought me and Travis to let go of her, even if the water was over her head. I will be so glad when she learns to swim. I think when you get home, you should take her to swim like a fish classes. I think that would be a great father-daughter activity!! Autumn being impatient, waiting to get in the water. Can we go now? Who wins the whitest baby contest? I don't know, they are both blinding me!!! Dylan and Travis- Dylan was practicing what he learned at swim like a fish. Paddling, kicking and blowing bubbles. I was pretty impressed with how he is doing after only a few lessons. Dylan giving Autumn kisses over the wall. A little blurry, but Autumn jumping. Autumn likes to walk in the water by herself- she makes my heart pound the entire time we are at

Movies with Friends.

Autumn has a gang. When she goes to bed, to the store, downstairs..... We have to bring EVERYBODY!! Wait until you get home and you get to lug Elmo, Balto, Bernie, Blanket and AUTUMN everywhere!! So here is Autumn watching a movie with her friends: Everyone! Autumn is turning into such a ham for the camera! Something new about Autumn, she likes to build things with her blocks. She did that all on her own. I was pretty impressed. Do you see the leaning tower?? Once she gets done building something, she goes all Godzilla on it and destroys her own creation. She goes all out, blocks halfway across the room!! That isn't something new!! Her next creation. Autumn and I were getting ready to head out the door, I look over and she is doing this: What a basket case!! Autumn cracks me up!! Hope she gives you a smile too! Turns out we cannot take Autumn to Hillberg. Apparently you have to be a minimum of 42 inches tall. BAH HUM BUG!!!!!!! SO, we are going to just have to go sleddin

More Christmas Cheer!

Autumn and I went to Cindy's mom and dad's house this afternoon. It was a rough start for Autumn since she only had about an hour nap (after going to bed at 9pm and waking up at 5am), but once she warmed up, things were much better! The food was wonderful and surprisingly cooked ahead of schedule!! I enjoyed too much, but I can proudly say that Travis still has a bigger tummy than me!!! I didn't think to take any pictures while at Cindy's, but Cindy did, so there may be a few more later. I want to show you the gifts Autumn and I received. Cindy gave me this ornament with my all time favorite Autumn and Dylan photo. It was a close one because I nearly started crying. It was such a thoughtful gift. Autumn received another book: Hello New Baby. I hope it has some lessons in there about how to be nice to New Human #2!! Valerie and Paul gave Autumn: This shopping cart. It was a huge hit among the kids, especially Autumn. The basket part comes out so that she could to
