Emelia's First Feeding.

Image
Emelia turned four months old a few days ago. That seems kind of crazy. I waited for Sean to return home, but I knew that I wanted to start Emelia out on some cereal. Saturday we went and picked Sean up from the airport and on Sunday evening, We got Emelia all set up for: Her first bite. Autumn did most of the feeding. She thought it was fun, Emelia on the other hand.... Was interested in eating, but..... I think she wanted something a little more flavorful. I think we'll keep at it. On another note, we've been having some strange weather. On Sunday, it snowed. It didn't stick at our elevation (pretty much melted on contact), but it stayed in the mountains. A pretty sunset. We decided to pack the girls up, In their snow suits And head for the hills. We went to Alpenglow, but there wasn't snow on the side we were on. We looked across for it though. Before we know it, it will be Here. For now, we'll enjoy 30 degree temperatures, gusty winds and Look forward to

One little girl gone bad!

Emelia has headbands. It is no secret in this house that my girls are bald as little people. If Emelia didn't wear a headband, people would call her a boy. Since Emelia is wearing headbands now, Autumn wants stuff in her hair too. Autumn has bows, since she has hair now, but she wants what Emelia has. I have been placing Emelia's headbands on the top of my entertainment center and then become exasperated when I see Autumn with them. Alert ** Wife Moment ** I thought Sean was taking them down and giving them to Autumn until one day, I stumbled upon this! This method wasn't quite yeilding the results she wanted, so she: Moved the phone (that Grandma Jordan sent her by the way) over to step on it and give it another go. In the end, She just strong armed it and made it to the top. I did my best not to startle her, but when I got her attention, she knew she was wrong. You think she is worried about a spanking???? Once I got Autumn on solid ground, she proceeds to put

Time Traveling

Image
I watched a movie recently called The Time Traveler's Wife. I really enjoyed the movie and there were some aspects of it that I could really relate to. The time traveler's wife is always waiting for her husband to return home- it strikes a chord with me. Obviously you are not waking up in strange places, different eras completely naked, but you are gone an awful lot. Even after all these years, I still miss you when you go. I didn't take any photos today, but I have a few old ones I haven't shared yet. These were taken last week while we were at your work, waiting for you...... Say what? Silly girls. A little help please. Sharing secrets. Plotting against me no doubt. Raspberry. You want me to do what?? I love you and miss you terribly Sean James Jordan. Come home soon. Your favorite wife and airman. xoxo

The man in the box.

Not really, it is just Autumn but saying the little girl in the box doesn't sound as cool. Autumn got in the box and was popping out of it. Then she told me, "Mommy, go that way." I think Autumn is on the tail end of this "cold." She already seems to be feeling better. Her nose is drying up, so that is good. I gave both of the girls a bath tonight, then I even got one! Emelia did something today that shocked me..... She rolled over. Of course that happened the day after you leave. Something else that waited for you to leave..... a 4.9 earthquake. It was the first time I've actually felt one since we moved to Alaska. It was, to say the least, scary to me! It did sound like a train/car/plane hit the house. Autumn was in rare form today. She told me that: She was going to take a nap on the stairs. Just kidding!! Such a sweet girl. Tomorrow we go to the Buckner gym for the first time with Emelia. I'm feeling a little nervous about it, but I'm

We miss you.

Getting up at 0500 hours to take you to the airport is not what I call a good time. It was so sad to see Autumn cry. I know she thinks that the airport means you will be away for a long time. I did my best to explain to her that it would be a very short trip and that you'd be home before the week was out. She did calm down, but it nearly broke my heart. I know it made you sad too. I'm dreading deployment when it happens again. I took the girls to the park this afternoon. When I downloaded my pictures, I realized that I had some photos I hadn't shared yet. So here goes it! For Julie. I should comment that we missed out on a nice summer this year thanks to all the rain, but this September has been spectacular! Nice sunshine, 60 + degrees and we've been doing our best to enjoy it. Beautiful Emelia. Autumn swinging on the tire swing. Besides enjoying summer, we've enjoyed a few good meals. Case in point: Pork Tenderloin. It was so good! Speaking of good........ Our nei
