My little dancer.

Image
We were invited to a birthday party today that took place at the Columbus School of Music and Dance (it is next to Publix on Schomburg road). Millie. Sweet, sweet Millie. She loved it! I had one of those moments where everyone and everything else slipped away from me and for a few moments, I was solely able to focus on Millie and see her. I mean really see her. She was so happy, so oblivious to the world around her. Even though she does not have a graceful bone in her body, you could tell she knew she was a little ballerina dancer, even if only for a moment. When we arrived at the party, she still had her eye patch on and she had a few moments of awkwardness. She ran into the table, she ran into a chair and she fell at least once. The other kids were staring at her. Some of the girls wouldn't hold her hand (that really did hurt her feelings). At the beginning of dance, she still had her eye patch on and was doing really well. When they started the face painting, I

TOO TIRED THURSDAY

Do you notice a recurring theme? I'm so tired. I don't understand it. I never have this much trouble with feeling tired. I think my lack of energy is my body fighting something off, but good grief, I just want to get back to normal. NO, I haven't been drinking orange juice. Don't you dare ask me that............ I decided the grass did not need to be cut today, so I ran the sprinkler system because it hasn't rained in a while. I thought it looked peaceful. I did do my run this morning 8x800 (I did each of the 8 half mile runs in 4 minutes or less, most of them under). I checked the pool chemicals and there weren't any. SO, I will throw some shock? in it tonight???? I also cleaned off the back porch like I said I would do. I oxycleaned the corner that Pirate had her babies in. Everything got a good scrub down. The main trouble with cleaning that porch off is that it gives me the heebeejeebeeies. I vacuumed up some kind of spider that had mutil

Reuben's!! It is what is for dinner. Speaking of food. I asked Autumn what she wanted in her lunch box tomorrow and she told me that she wanted Peanut Butter and Jelly, chips and a basil leaf. That girl is hysterical!! This morning when I woke up at 545 am, I decided that I really just needed a break and to recharge. Why have I been so tired? I went to bed at 830 last night and was asleep before 9 pm for sure. Anyway, I got the girls off to school. I didn't see or hear from Kristin (she had a stomach virus yesterday), so I wore my running clothes and brought all my running stuff just in case she was there. Since she wasn't, I went over to B&N and grabbed a Pumpkin Spice Latte. I started to sit down and read, but I just wasn't feeling it. I got back to the car and drove. I guess I was sort of on auto pilot when I realized I was at the trail head. What would it hurt to walk a little bit since I was here anyway. Cherish walk? That is hard!! I s

So it begins.

Do you get tired of reading how busy my day was? I'm sorry, but it was SO busy. I left for the 2nd time today at 930 and I'm just now getting home. I'm exhausted! Got both the girls ready for school this morning and when I put on Autumn's shirt, she said "I'm going to look like a jail person." BWAHAHAHAHA!!!! We got Autumn to school, but the whole morning I was so worried that I was going to forget that today was an early release day, so I Put this sticker on my steering wheel to help me remember every time I got in the car that I needed to get Autumn from school. Millie asked me if she could go running with me. Despite what some people think, I am not crazy. I was not interested in anyway whatsoever pushing a jogger up some big old hills, so I stayed on Fall Line Trace and just did a maintenance run. I am doing speed day on Thursday and if I run tomorrow at all, I will do hill day. After running, I dropped Millie off to school and came

Homework

Yesterday was such a busy day. The girls at Awana's. There is a rule about wearing tennis shoes, so Millie looks odd! I tried to put some shorts on under her dress, but she was not having that. Baby steps I guess. After hearing some horror stories from friends about homework, I am grateful that Autumn LOVES to do her homework. The only real homework she had today was her ten new sight words. We just put them on our flash cards. She already knew 6 of the 10 though so I'm guessing she will make short work of this list. Tomorrow is the half day. Autumn needs to be picked up at 1215, so I will grab Millie and head straight to Autumn's school. I'm sure it will all work out. Millie has to be entertained in another room when Autumn is doing her homework. I would say the Millie factor is the only thing that bothers Autumn. Millie cannot make a peep during homework time without Autumn coming unglued. So I have been setting her up with Netflix or a movie in t

Let my people go.

This morning Millie went to her Sunday school class and learned all about Moses. These girls crack me up. Especially the part where Autumn says her name starts with "M", like "Mrs". Autumn went to her Sunday school class, sat in big church with me and then went to Children's church with no fuss. After church Mrs Tracie gave Millie a new dress (the one she was wearing in the video) and then we went over to 5 guys where we ordered our crabby patty and fries to go. Cherry berry. The first thing that happened when we walked in there was Millie wanted to show the girls at the counter her Minnie Mouse purse. The girls were very impressed. After we paid, the girls told me there was a wasp. "Should we spray it?" I said, "yes. Please do." After the young girl (17 years old) sprayed half of Cherry Berry with wasp spray, the wasp was on the floor, wings paralyzed. "Should we pick it up?" The other girl, "I'

Business as usual.

Sean is gone, so I am back. That is just the way this blog works. So many exciting things have been going on in our lives, I suppose it is time for an update. I would like to start with some of my finest parenting, then end on a high note (our trip to Pensacola Beach). Friday afternoon, after school, we decided we would go to the movies. Autumn LOVES the movies and what she really wanted to see was Smurfs 2. It was not meant to be. The movie theater did not have Smurfs 2, so I offered her a choice of Despicable Me 2 (which we have already seen) or Planes. She picked DM2. The guy rings us up and says $32 and some change. Say what? Do you have a military discount? NO. UHM, no thank you! At this point, Autumn starts to cry and Millie follows suit. I know that man was thinking I would totally cave and spend $32 to appease my crying children, but I suppose he hasn't ever met the likes of Cherish Jordan. Autumn asks him, "why are you being so mean? We just want a
