A day with Dylan.

Image
Autumn and I had a very fun day with Dylan today. It started at the Oasis this morning, but that part was not much fun. Dylan has recently started walking and this morning took a nasty tumble and hit his head. He is going to have a black eye for a few days. Dylan manned up though and we were able to go ahead with our workout. After the Oasis, Dylan came to our house for lunch. Cindy made them Macaroni and Cheese from the book Deceptively Delicious and the kids really liked it. Dylan enjoying his lunch. Autumn enjoying her lunch. Dylan has not learned yet about Pepper and spent much of the afternoon chasing her. Fortunately, Pepper is fast and Dylan was not able to catch her. :-) After lunch, Autumn and Dylan took their naps. Autumn slept in her crib while Dylan slept in the Pack and play in Autumn's room. They only talked to each other for a few moments and then they both passed out. They slept for about an hour. After nap time, it was mischievous time. Take note boys, A

Falling behind.

I know, I was doing so good at posting and now I am lucky to update once a week. It has been a busy time. I did one of my clinicals (follow the Radiologist around), I have to schedule one more. I finished my medical terminology class with an A and I am about half way through my anatomy/physiology class. I got my vaccines up to date today. Hard to believe I was missing any. The lovely young lady who helped me thought I was a Technical Sergeant and asked me how long was I in the Air Force. I told her six years and that my husband was the Technical Sergeant, I only made it to Staff Sergeant when I was in. Anyway, I am so close to my goal of getting into the Radiology program that I can almost taste it. During my clinical I was surprised to hear that it was best to not mention that Sean was in the military, that they may hold that against me. I guess it is because after getting trained up, they do not want to lose a person to a military move. I certainly hope that is not true. M

It's a new day.

Today is a big day for me. I am leaving Autumn for most of the day in the care of Cindy and Sean. It probably sounds lame, but I am nervous and sad about it. I am happy to be going to follow a radiologist around, but I will miss Autumn. I hope that Autumn behaves well for Cindy and that she acts like a savage for Sean (you know, so he can get a taste of what I go through on a daily basis). Anyway, wish me luck!!

My BFF

It is hard to think that in a few short months Dylan, Cindy and Travis will be moving away. I have formed a bond with all three of them and Dylan and Autumn really are BFF's. Here they are eating breakfast together: It is great when Dylan and Autumn get to talking to one another. I mean, we have no idea what they are saying, but they sure do. We have been trying really hard to make sure there is a balance between sharing and germ swapping!!! Autumn loves to give Dylan her cup and he gladly obliges. Autumn has been all over the Oasis now. I am pretty sure she has checked out every nook and cranny. Lately she has been hanging out by the climbing wall. Hard to imagine there could be a day when she actually climbs it. Autumn's favorite thing lately, telling me no. It drives me nuts! When can we move on to a new word?? School is going great! I am taking my final for medical terminology tomorrow, I have one of my clincals schedule for next week. Sean surprised me and came

Computer stuff

Oh you know how I hate the computer. I have no idea what is wrong with it. I had several pictures for you today, but that will have to wait until tomorrow. I passed my mid-term with a 98%. Go me!!! I finished two more chapters today. I am up to Chapter 11 now, 4 left to go and I will be done with Medical Terminology. Sorry this was so short, but it is getting late. I will try to upload my pictures tomorrow. I love you Sean. Your Favorite Wife and Airman. xoxo

It is about time!!!!!!!!!

This morning I set my alarm for six so that I could get up and do some reading and just have some time to myself. When my alarm went off, I turned it off and thought I would get up in a few minutes. Shortly after, the phone rang. I thought it was you, but it was Cindy. I looked at the clock and realized my short nap had turned into a long one. It was 730!!!! I went and got Autumn, fixed her breakfast, then got her dressed. We headed out the door and went to the Oasis for our workout. Today was extra special because there was three of us. The kids all chilled in their strollers (like Autumn and Dylan usually do) and watched Sesame street. If we had triplets, this is how I imagine it would look like: Ava, Autumn and Dylan. After working out, the children all played. Dylan fell and smacked his head, Autumn fell and smacked hers. She has a little bruise on her cheek now. Not too noticeable though. Autumn and I ran over to the post office and finally dropped off our thank you

It is Sunday

I was able to sleep in until 730 am this morning thanks to the time change. That would be great if Autumn kept that up. It would give me some extra time in the mornings to myself and prepare for her to wake. Sean left this morning for Fairbanks and will be gone for the week. Autumn and I waved goodbye to him as he pulled out of the driveway, but he didn't see us. Autumn looked perplexed. I am not sure if it was because Sean didn't wave back, or if it was because he was leaving. We had taco salad for dinner, which I enjoyed immensely, but Autumn wasn't so impressed. She went to bed quite easily though which I found surprising because she took such a long nap today. Hmmmm Maybe a tooth is finally coming in. For all of those who have been wondering, my meeting with the college Professor about the radiology program was very promising. Since that meeting, I've enrolled in two online courses, Medical Terminology and Anatomy. I have to complete them by May 15th. I am

Walking in a winter wonderland.

Image
Over the weekend, we went for a family walk at Arctic Valley. We've been there many times before and to my surprise, there was a trail near the very area where I often park. I never noticed it before- WOW! I am so aware of my surroundings. Anyway, back to the walk. I told Sean that I wanted to get some sunshine, but didn't want to be cold, so he selected this area-which made me a little grumpy since what I had in mind was the mall. So we get started on this trail. Evil Sean and Happy Autumn. It was uphill-the whole way (out and back), hence the whole being warm while walking outside in the cold. At least I was only carrying my body weight-Sean says to me, "Autumn isn't getting any lighter." We found a nice area to stop and let Autumn walk in the snow. We haven't really given her an opportunity to do this yet. I am not sure why-I guess because it sucks if they fall in the snow. Autumn started to walk (with Sean RIGHT behind her) and before I know it, s
