So many pictures....

A view from Alaska.

In a few words, it's been rainy. We've been stuck inside for about two weeks. Autumn has been..... Reading. Trying to get a shot of the mountains- this picture turned out pretty cool though. Please take note- there is sun shining in the valleys of those mountains. This is pretty typical of Alaska weather. It could be sunny in one place and two miles down the road (across a mountain) you could have totally different weather. I cannot tell you the number of times that Sean and I experienced totally different weather while he was at work and I was at home. The sun is out this evening. Autumn is still on the mend. She is coughing, A LOT! I want to tell my mom I love her and I hope her surgery goes well tomorrow.

A new haunt.

Autumn and I found a new place we will definitely be spending time at this winter. Heading in. I love Autumn's purse. I'm not sure if I have ever shared the contents of her purse with my on-line friends/family, but there is her cell phone, teething tablets, her keys, and of course, the shower hook! The place is called The Arctic Playgroundz . The idea- a coffee house that dubs as a great big indoor playground. Sip on your coffee, read your book/magazine/newspaper, or play on the free WIFI while your kiddo runs, screams, plays, climbs, pushes, etc around the 2000 square feet. There wasn't much I could complain about- I would have liked the floor to be a little cleaner since they make the kids take their shoes off (you'll notice in one of the pics Autumn's black feet and I can assure you that didn't happen at home). Other than that, it was a lovely experience. Autumn went up that ladder by herself. Let me take a moment to brag on Autumn, because I don'

It was a Petco kind of day.

Autumn has a runny nose. I'm not sure if she is sick or just cutting a tooth, so in an effort to not spread the wealth of germs, we have been staying in. Now, Autumn and I can only take so much of that, so this afternoon, we made a special trip to Petco. First stop: The Ferrets. Then we stopped at the guinea pigs and Autumn gave me a look like, "What is going on here?" Every time we got close, they hid. Autumn loves to push the little cart. She truly is a customer in training. As we were making our way through the store, Autumn seemed to forget something (obviously not her blanket since it is in the cart): Oh yeah, I wanted to check out these fish. This guy better get out of her way. Autumn loved the turtles. She squealed with delight at them and before I knew it, she was the center of attention. Autumn shopped. And shopped (look how fast she was going). Until finally, she dropped! One word, "Fail." The item she really wanted, the cat playpen. She thought

Mandatory Fun Squadron Camping Trip.

Image
To begin our Mandatory fun Squadron camping trip, Autumn and I attended a Change of Command ceremony. Sean was the flag bearer, Autumn was the entertainment. Autumn ran all over the place and around the audience several times. I could see several of the guys in formation trying their best to not burst out laughing (including Sean). All the guys. Eventually, I caught up with Autumn and found her here: Hanging out inside a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle. You might want to get out of her way. She loved it. After the shenanigans at the Squadron, we loaded up and headed down to the Russian River. In true Alaskan form, Autumn wore sneakers with her dress- smile shoes, not style shoes ladies. She tried to help Sean fish, but they were unsuccessful. ALL WEEKEND! My man is the fire starter, but not the salmon catcher. We saw lots of animals though: Tyler (that's the guy) helping Autumn ride Dixie. Also around camp, Two bears. Hey Sean, do you think you could keep your eyes
