It's about time for a Disney Post.
As much as I loved Disney, I've been dragging my feet on posting about it. I guess partly because it seems like such a daunting task. We spent 8 days there and got over 300 pictures (probably more when you add in cell phones). I'm going to break it down day by day to make it easier on myself and in turn, hopefully easier for you. I'm not going to post all the pictures or write every day all at once, just when the spirit moves me. The photos I use for for my blog I plan to make into a book for the girls as keepsakes. I suppose I should make an extra one for Sean and I.
Day one. Driving day.
I think we left around 8 am. We had to make several pit stops, one of them the bank.
Autumn had a check to cash.
Millie just had a silly face.

Pretty.
We arrived Downtown Disney around 3 pm. We wanted to do some shopping at the world of Disney, but they didn't have what I was looking for. The girls did pick some items up though.
A new Minnie Mouse for Millie.
Autumn also picked out a Minnie Mouse (although not visible in this picture).
After shopping, we headed to the hotel.
Upon arrival to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, hotel staff greeted us by name when we walked up. They found our reservation and escorted us up to the concierge. When we first walked into the lobby, she gave us a minute (so Sean could catch up) to take in the lobby. It was gorgeous.
I thought the light fixtures were pretty cool looking.
After checking in with the concierge, we headed to our room.
The girls were so excited.
We stepped out onto the balcony and got a good look at a giraffe!
When we were in our room, I'm pretty sure we spent more time on the balcony than anywhere else.
Our second greatest hang out...
The Kilimanjaro club! Free food, drinks and fun.
We ate free food for dinner on this first night from the club. We went to bed fairly early.
In the morning, we did our check for animals.
Birds.
We ate breakfast at the club and then headed out to Magic Kingdom.
That is day one in a nutshell!
