Hodge Podge for October- Millie's mouth and the garage door.

Millie has a lot going on with her mouth.

It's hard to even put it all into words.

There are missing teeth, transposed teeth, misshapen teeth...

In March, our dentist said she needed an orthodontics referral, but COVID and all.

We finally made it to orthodontics.

This is Millie's X-ray, but I find it is easier to describe what is happening with a few marks.

Millie has four molars on the bottom (underlined green) that are ankylose.

An ankylosed tooth means the root of a tooth is permanently connected to the jaw. It cannot move because the tooth no longer has the protective periodontal ligament around it. The root of the tooth will then become permanently attached to the jaw bone.

The surgery scheduled for the end of the month will remove all four of these molars and a bridge will be placed on both sides.

Millie will also have two teeth removed from her upper jaw and a gold chain placed on the K9 to drag that tooth down into position.  They'll put a bridge there too.

In other news, we finally completed a project we've been meaning to do for some time.

Insulate the garage door.

Before.

Half-way done.

Done!

Just in time.

It snowed the next day.

Chester Lake- we'll ice skate soon.

I've been doing my C25K.

It feels good to run again!
