The Mastermind

When I made our countdown chain, it did occur to me that there would be several hiccups with it. For one, I was pretty sure that one or more girls would eventually want to tear off more links than just one a day. I really thought it would be Millie, but today, Autumn surprised me.

I suppose she thought that by tearing it down, you would be coming home tomorrow. Actually, I think it was an accident although nothing is for sure! I like how she is wearing it like a feather boa.

I did my insanity workout this morning

This was not even halfway in. Man that was rough! It felt good though. OK, it hurt some. It was nice to exert myself though.

My obliques are KILLING me! That is mostly where I have gone soft at. Tomorrow morning I will be doing another insanity workout and I intend to put in a five miler. Originally, it was supposed to be rainy tomorrow, but I just checked and it says 70 and partly sunny. I'm excited to get out on the trail. I need to get ready for the color run. I want to get a respectable time. Not win any awards or anything, but definitely under 30. I don't know. I might make my goal for under 25 minutes. Or even adjust that depending on how I am doing in a few weeks.

Devonne, all the way in Washington state, decided that their family needed a new addition.

Meet cupcake. I don't know if that name will stick, but that is her name for now. She is a little clandestine at the moment, but what a cute cat. I told her she could have one of our kittens here.

Tonight I need to pack our bags and I will likely load the car. Tomorrow is going to be busy! I need to run by the grocery store and pick up a few snacks for our trip. I will need to stop by your mom's and pick up Autumn's birthday gift. I need to do my run. My insanity workout. Finish packing the stuff I cannot pack tonight (blankies, rowws, dreamlights, etc.). We are going to have a play date at the park with Pearl if it does in fact, not rain. I plan to leave for my mom's around 1 or 2 pm. I think it is a good plan to tire the children out at the park and then drive. I hope I am right!!!!

Your goggles. I guess she plans to fix her eye problems herself. I love how her mind works! I think she is just darn adorable too!

Snowzilla.

Autumn and I began the day shoveling the driveway. That is much more work than it sounds like. I had to get us both suited up for the ten degree weather, put her in the backpack, then head on out. It took us about an hour to finish the driveway and when we came back in, poor little Autumn's face had frost nip on it. She has now had frost nip twice. Later today, we went to visit Snowzilla. Frosty the Snowzilla man is huge!!! The local government is trying to put a stop to Snowzilla citing a building code violation. Well, I say down with the man!!!! Keep Snowzilla up. Playing with fire.

I hear clank, clank, clank in the kitchen. This cannot be good, grab the camera first though- for proof. You never know what you might find. Uh huh! AUTUMN!! What mom? I wasn't doing anything! So I've moved the knives for now, but it is only temporary. They need to go in a locked cabinet. I took Autumn's step stool upstairs to our bathroom so she could brush her teeth. I think I'm going to head back to Target and buy another one. I'm lazy and do not want to drag one up/down the stairs. Autumn really enjoys brushing her teeth.... with MY toothbrush! Say AHHHHHHH- checking to make sure she did a good job. She is so funny. Autumn and I are going to head downtown after nap time to see about the ice sculptures and check out the Christmas lights. Remember that house in South Anchorage that does the Christmas lights to music over FM radio? This year is the last year, he is moving and his new neighborhood cannot support the traffic. With Crisis comes clarity.

I've gone back in forth in my mind a million times as to whether or not I should even write what I'm getting ready to write. When I think really hard about it, the truth is, I need to write it. I need the essence of who I am to be preserved somewhere. How I came to the decisions that I did, where my mind was at, where my heart was at in it. I need something that my children can look back on and try to understand me, or at least the essence of me. This tale begins about a month ago. I found a lump in my left breast while I was in the shower. I always do my breast exams in the shower. I'm pretty faithful about it too. About once a month or so, I check around and make sure I don't feel anything weird. That isn't easily done, you see, I have lumpy breasts, so I really don't know what I'm looking for. Lumpy breasts run in my family. This one particular day, about a month ago, I felt something that felt weird to me, but I was unsure about it.
